Paint Me As A Field of Golden Poppies
Paint me as a field of golden poppies
With translucent evening skies above
Set me in fine print, or carve me out of stone
When you sculpt Euterpe’s flute of bone
Make me into a melody, tuned to your liking
While you sing me for a million ears to hear
Design me as you would an arc or column
Or cast me as Matsu upon the pier
Write pages, scenes of laughter and of drama
About me, and act them on the stage
But in the evening put your arms around me
So no one in this world may see my face

I really really like this one nina. It’s really melodic and the message is really clear, nice job. (not like poetry’s a job, but you know)

I just thought that the flow of this poem was really nice. I love the ending, since its a bit different, yet completely understandable.
